Under the supervision of the Team Manager in the Vocational Rehabilitation Employment Division/Specialized Services Division, the Staff Services Analyst Service Coordinator (SC) provides a range of analytical support in planning, arranging, coordinating, and monitoring vocational rehabilitation services. This may include services for DOR Student Services (DOR SS) for Potentially Eligible (PE) students and eligible students with disabilities, ages 16 through 21, to help them achieve employment, live independently, and integrate fully into their communities. The SC works collaboratively with program units and supervisors across the district to support these goals.
The OSG/EL MONTE District is responsible for the service delivery of the Federal Title I Vocational Rehabilitation Services Program, which assists eligible individuals, including PE and eligible students with disabilities, in achieving their employment goals. This is accomplished by providing DOR SS, as well as training, assistive technology, supported employment, customized employment, and job placement support. District staff also conduct eligibility determinations, prioritize services for applicants, and offer direct post-employment services to individuals who secure employment through DOR services.

Under Government Code 14200, this position is a hybrid, in-office/telework position, and may be subject to change. Incumbent must live and work in California. The majority of the work will take place in one of the following locations with consumers, the public, colleagues, and other stakeholders: a DOR open office setting in a cubicle environment, offsite in the community, at events and various partner locations, and/or at an approved alternate work location. The incumbent must have the ability to work in an office setting for up to 40 hours per week and remain at a workstation for extended periods while utilizing a personal computer, peripherals, and other office equipment with or without accommodation. The incumbent will be working in an office setting with both natural and artificial lighting. Strong interpersonal skills are required to interact effectively with consumers, the public, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
